Burn DVD with USU
If you have already downloaded the ISO image of US, you can burn it on a DVD by following these instructions:
for Windows 95 / 98 / ME / 2000 / XP / Server 2003 / Vista: Infra Recorder |
- Download and install Infra Recorder, a free and open-source image-burning program.
- Insert a blank CD in the drive and select Do nothing or Cancel if an autorun dialog box pops up.
- Open Infra Recorder and click the “Write Image” button in the main screen.
* Alternatively you can select the “Actions” menu, then “Burn image”.
- Select the Ubuntu CD image file you want to use, then click “Open”.
- In the dialog box, click “OK”.

- Right-click on the USU ISO file, and chose “Burn disk image”
- Chose your DVD burner in the next window, and click “Burn”.

- If you are using GNOME, launch Brasero disk burning software, click “Burn image” button, in the next window select the USU ISO file, and finally click the “Burn” button.
- If you are using KDE, launch K3b disk burning software, click “Burn image” button, in the next window select the USU ISO file, and finally click the “Start” button.

After the DVD burning is done, you must restart your computer. Note that it’s BIOS should be set up to boot from CD/DVD first. Most PCs have this option activated, but if it’s not active on your computer, you should check your BIOS manual and set it up correctly.
